Algeria Advances Daily Monitoring of Essential-Goods Prices and Availability

Following a Council of Ministers meeting on 18 October, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered immediate measures to develop daily monitoring of essential-goods prices and availability and directed an investigation into practices affecting imported-meat prices. The initiative highlights demand for market transparency and public-sector data systems, but no standalone monitoring-system contract value was announced. Public agencies and consulting firms can explore opportunities in price intelligence, policy analysis and procurement monitoring, while HPC can support data dashboards and decision-support tools.
