Uzbekistan Plans US$50 Million Tourism Development Programme in Kashkadarya

On 22 October, Uzbekistan announced plans to launch US$50 million in tourism projects across six mountain villages in Kashkadarya Region, including a ski resort at Gelon, cultural-tourism centres and locations for rafting and sports tourism. The first phase of the Gelon ski resort is planned to open in 2027, while the wider village programme is expected to begin in March 2027; the US$50 million is a planned programme value rather than a completed spend, and HPC can support hospitality technology, booking analytics and destination-marketing data systems.
