Paraguay’s Digital Infrastructure Push Targets AI and Data-Centre Investment

On 23 October, President Santiago Peña discussed the Yguazú Digital initiative with Anthropic’s public-sector leadership, highlighting Paraguay’s renewable electricity as a potential advantage for AI infrastructure and digital services. The separate Crusoe–Araico partnership announced this week targets an initial deployment by mid-2027, with potential expansion to 106 MW and longer-term options reaching approximately 280 MW; no confirmed project investment price was disclosed, and HPC can provide infrastructure planning and computing support through a tailored quotation.
